Lynn Hoseney - Victoria LaCrosse
Lynn Hoseney graduated with honors from the Academy of Drama Mamas in South Poukeepsie. She is currently working on her doctoral dissertation, “The Effects of Comedic Sexual Innuendo on a Small Suburban/Rural Population in Michigan.” After many years of honing (ignoring?) her acting skills off Broadway (way, way off Broadway—636.09 miles off Broadway to be exact), Lynn is having tons of fun playing the role of Victoria LaCrosse in “Move Over, Mrs. Markham.” Victoria is more of an observer than a participant in this baudy farce. As Olive Harriet Smythe's executive assistant, she has a bird's-eye view of all the shenanigans that ensue.
Lynn has been teaching for Pinckney Community Schools since 1993. She currently teaches first grade at the best elementary school in the world—Country Elementary. Many of her students attended her performance as a nun in the chorus of the Pinckney Players' Sound of Music in October 2011. Although this production is definitely not kid-appropriate, she hopes many parents, colleagues and friends will take the opportunity to come to dine, wine (not whine), and chuckle along with the Pinckney Players at one of our February performances. Prior to now, Lynn's activities at Whispering Pines have been limited to driving a cart and hitting golf balls into the woods and ponds (rarely straight down the fairway or directly onto the green). She is looking forward to being part of a dinner theater at this wonderful location.
Lynn would like to thank Brad Rondeau and Heidi Miles, along with the cast and crew of Mrs. Markham, for being willing to take on a “newbie,” and for stealing some lines and creating a role that is teacher-appropriate. She hopes you will enjoy watching “Move Over, Mrs. Markham” as much as she has enjoyed being a part of it.
