Nick Greene - Alistair Spenlow
Good morning, afternoon, evening, whatever it may be, my name is Nick Greene. I became a Pinckney Player in 2009 with their wonderful production of Holes. I played the young and ill fortuned Stanley Yelnats. This time around I am playing the spunky and obviously very handsome Alistair Spenlow. My passions first started out with playing hockey, both roller and on ice, which I still do to this day. In high school I decided to take up bowling and found I wasn’t too bad at that either. Being on stage seemed very scary at first but once I got up there I realized that it was something that I was destine to do. Ever since I was fourteen I have always had some sort of responsibility under my belt from refereeing hockey games to my long lasted job at the local convenience store 7-Eleven. Currently I am employed as a server at Sushi Zen in downtown Brighton and in Ann Arbor, which I love doing.
Anyone who has met me can probably say that I am a quiet sort of guy but there is loud passionate side to me. I really have to bring out this side to play Alistair. He is a very upbeat and rumbustious interior designer, get it right that he is a designer, he doesn’t just decorate things. Some may think he is a little in your face and selfish but he just knows what he wants and has fun doing it. He is just my kind of guy, taking advantage of every situation that he gets himself into. The Players are certainly lucky to have had such a good looking and NORMAL young man audition for the gorgeous and NORMAL role of Alistair Spenlow. I just must remember that the stage life and real life are two different things because if not my “personal” life would be getting hell of a lot more complicated.
Acting has just recently been one of those burning desires with a little direction from some friends. During high school I took a drama class which really turned me on to the idea of acting and it got me to go out and audition for a part in Holes. Ever since then the thought hasn’t gone out of my mind. I have been going to Washtenaw Community College for secondary education in the sciences. I have been on the dean’s list every semester since I started and have a cumulative GPA of 3.91. My life has been very busy ever since I can remember but that’s the way I like it. I don’t know where I would be without the friends and family that I have gotten from these past years. I am looking forward to playing the young and giddy Alistair Spenlow in “Move over Mrs. Markham” and all the other strong and handsome personas that are in my future. I can’t wait to see where my future acting career will take me.
