                        Tom Limbacher -  Henry Lodge

                        Picture
In 1960 Tom’s parents took him to see his brother play Howie Newsome in “Our Town”. Tom was bitten by the theatre bug right there at the age of 5. In 1968 Tom’s sister got him to audition for a summer stock production of Brigadoon at the Historical Croswell Opera House in Adrian Mi. and he was off and rolling. After high school Tom spent a summer at Northern Michigan University performing 4 plays where he was an actor in one, the lighting designer for another and the percussionist for the other two.

Recognizing his immense versatility Tom was invited to attend the prestigious Harold Hill University of Musicology. After many years Tom graduated with a Masters in Thinkology of Music. Not wanting to let his acting career go stale he also read quite a few books on acting, and Theatre technology.

During the 80’s Tom served as resident Technical Director of the Nutmeg Ballet Company, and Artistic director of the Warner Theatre in Torrington Ct. In 1986 Tom moved back to Michigan where he served on year as the administrative director at the Historic Croswell Opera House.

After that Tom concentrated on raising his family in northern Ohio and attended the School of Hard Knocks, where he received his PHD. He tells us that he is still taking classes to this day. While in Ohio Tom appeared and Directed such plays as “HMS Pinafore, Into the Woods, Pippin, and Witness for the prosecution.

After some time of semi retirement Tom joined the Pinckney Players two years ago with the acclaimed hit Duck Hunter Shoots Angel. Since then he has done quite a bit of lighting for the players and now back on stake for Mrs. Markham. Plans for after the production…..go on a cruise and read another book.
