Theater is an amazing way to bring so many things learned in any classroom to life. Theater also is a great building block for developing leadership skills, confidence and collaborative abilities as well as giving students hands on experience with theater. This Young Performers’ Edition is a one-hour adaptation of THE WIZARD OF OZ, specially tailored for elementary and middle school-aged actors. This classic tale, in which a Kansas farm girl travels over the rainbow to discover the magical power of home, has been entertaining audiences for generations. There are many fun roles, something for everyone, from the experience actor to someone who just wants to give acting a try. Auditions - Saturday, April 25th 10am. No preparation is needed, auditions will consist of cold readings and songs from the show. Saturday, May 16th we will have a pre-rehearsal from 10am to 2pm where actors will get their scripts, we’ll have a read thru and try on some costumes.
