Meet our Board of Directors 

If it weren't for our wonderful volunteers, the show would not go on!
These first-class citizens "man" the helm of The Pinckney Players with experience,
​aptitude and - of course - a sense of fun and adventure!

Stephanie Shurtleff  

President
Stephanie has been with the Pinckney Players since 2001 with The Wizard of Oz. Since then, she has been involved with over 63 shows as an actor, director, producer, light and sound engineer, stage crew, kid wrangler and catwalk master. She always enjoys spending time with her two boys at the theatre. Her favorite role has been the Stepmother in Cinderella which she has done twice. Her advice for anyone wanting to be a part of a show......DO IT!!  In any capacity, theatre will change your life for the better!!

Heidi Miles

Vice President​
Heidi has been a member of the Pinckney Players since 2009; having served on the board from 2011-2014. During the day, she works in an administrative position for a childcare facility. During the evening, she is an active member of the Players working mainly behind the scenes. Some of her fondest memories include working as part of the "flight" crew for Mary Poppins and Peter Pan; and being dressed as an elf while changing set pieces during Elf Junior. On stage favorites include PUFFS and Scrooge, the musical. Presently, Heidi is a board member for the Junior Players.

 Dawn Allman 

Treasurer
Dawn is a long-time theatre lover and is
excited to be a part of the Pinckney Players Board. With the Pinckney Players, Dawn has performed in Company, Mamma Mia, Sweet Delilah Swim Club and The Producers. Dawn is a CPA and works for Trinity Health. She also has a wonderful husband and
three children.

 Lori Miller

Secretary
Lori is excited to join the Pinckney Players Board of Directors. She has been a member of Pinckney Players since 2018 and loves the theatre! Lori is a seasoned entertainer with years of music and performing experience. You may have seen her in Pinckney Players; CURTAINS, MAMMA MIA, and CINDERELLA! She works in Early Childhood Development and has served many roles at her church with her husband and daughter.

 Rob Martin

Script Select / Historian
This is Rob’s first year on the Pinckney Players Board, but he has served many years on other community theater Board of Directors (25 years in total). These jobs included but were not limited to: Concessions Chair, Social Chair, Tickets, Corresponding Secretary, headed the Director search committee with a few different groups, and Vice President. Now with Pinckney Players, he was one one the choreographers for Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1999),  Fiddler on The Roof (2000),  Curtains (2018), Puffs (2021), and directed/ choreographed The Producers (2022). It’s going to be an exciting season to see the Korean War, Arendelle, Harvard Law, and Crunchem Hall come to life at the Jane. Come see this exciting season. Don’t get thrown in “THE CHOKEY.”

Lynn Hoseney

Costumes/Props
Lynn  found her dramatic side with the Pinckney Players in The Sound of Music in 2011. Since then she has performed in a plethora of Players’ productions. This is Lynn’s second stint as a board member. She is happy to be back helping guide the Pinckney Players in a positive direction. In her free time (when she’s not memorizing lines or producing shows) she enjoys golfing, playing with her granddaughters, and puttering around in her garden. She encourages you to find your creative side, no matter what that might be.  It's never too late to start, and it's good for your soul!

   Amber Walker-Smith

Public Relations
Amber Walker Smith is a Livingston County native and Pinckney Community Schools Alumni. She trained at Central Michigan University, Lansing Community College, Detroit's Masonic Temple, and with the Circus Opus Company, under the esteemed movement expert and professional mime, Michael Lee Faust. Amber has taught performing arts in Livingston County for 18 years including The Community Theatre of Howell's youth theater program,  the Pinckney Community School District, and Maria's School of dance in Fowlerville. Amber has settled in Gregory, Michigan with her husband, James, and 2 children.  Amber encourages induviduals of all abilities and experience to join Pinckney Players. The theater is a great place to discover more about yourself and the world around you!

​Bill Wearne

Technical Director
Bill has been in the Pinckney Community since 2010, and has encouraged his daughters as they have been in a few shows, both onstage as well as backstage. He recently acted in his first show as an adult – A Royally Odd Mess of a Midsummer Night’s Dream. Although he thinks acting is great fun, Bill has a passion for technology and enjoys working with the many “behind the scenes” artists who make magic happen. Outside of the theater, he manages printing projects, enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his family and their dog, and serves on the Pinckney Community Schools Board of Education.

Sydney St. Amour

Social Media/Email
 Sydney earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from Michigan State University in 2024, along with professional stage management training. She first joined Pinckney Players in 2021 with Puffs, and quickly found a creative home with the company, contributing to multiple productions in a variety of roles before stepping into producing in 2024. Through her work, Sydney has developed a strong passion for bringing people together through theater, both on stage and behind the scenes. She is excited to share her knowledge of theater and social media on the board, and is committed to supporting Pinckney Players as it continues to connect with the community and create meaningful productions.
