At least one scholarship is awarded to a Livingston County high school senior or current college student each year. The $1,000 college scholarship will be presented to an individual that has been selected in accordance with the following rules and criteria.
The applicant must:
Be a high school senior or current college student who plans to attend a college or university full time, and has a strong commitment to the Arts. Each applicant must provide a copy of an acceptance letter or letter from the school stating their acceptance status.
Provide a copy of their most recent transcript showing a GPA of 2.75 or better.
Provide two letters of recommendation from any source.
Provide an essay stating how being a part of a theatre group has affected their life, and how they plan to continue their commitment to the Arts. If the applicant has performed with Pinckney Players, they should be sure to include their involvement.
Additional Information:
Preference will be given to those attending a Michigan school and to those who have been involved with Pinckney Players.
If not a Livingston County resident, the applicant must be sponsored by a current Pinckney Player member.
In the event of a tie between two applicants for the scholarship, an audition will be required.
The recipient(s) will be awarded their scholarship at their school's honors night.
If the award cannot be presented in person, scholarship certificates and checks will be mailed to the recipient.
